Role-Based Certification Requirements

Lifeguard

Keep our facility safe by actively supervising the pool, responding to emergencies, and creating a welcoming environment for all users.

Required Certifications:

  • National Lifeguard (NL)
  • Standard First Aid & CPR-C

Swim Instructor

Teach swimmers of all ages and abilities, helping them build confidence, improve technique, and develop strong water safety skills.

Required Certifications:

  • Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor
  • Standard First Aid & CPR-C
  • National Lifeguard

Aquafit Instructor

Lead fun, engaging water fitness classes that promote strength, endurance, and overall wellness for a wide range of participants.

Required Certifications:

  • Aquafitness Certification (e.g., Lifesaving Society, YMCA, or equivalent)
  • Standard First Aid & CPR-C

Yoga Intructor

Guide participants through safe and effective yoga classes, focusing on movement, flexibility, and mindfulness in a supportive environment.

Required Certifications:

  • Recognized Yoga Instructor Certification (e.g., 200-hour YTT)
  • CPR-C / First Aid

Personal Trainer

Work one-on-one with clients to create customized fitness plans, support their goals, and help them build strength, confidence, and healthy habits.

Required Certifications:

  • Certified Personal Trainer (e.g., NASM, CanFitPro, ISSA, or equivalent)
  • Standard First Aid & CPR-C
